Can we have instead of (in the initial searching the devices) "Please Wait...." and a counter that "testdisk" searches something?
I think that this initial searching MUST BE TIME LIMITED and give ANSWER to the user HOW to continue with "testdisk".
Because with a defected HDD the "please wait ...

WD My Passport 2TB not accessible....
To cut the long story short, going to delete a SUB-directory and its files, "Windows" gave me an error (".....cannot delete"). From this moment on, this WD My Passport 2TB HDD is unaccessible....
PARTITON and all directories DISSAPERED.
"Windows" sees it as RAW and suggests FORMAT.
After waiting ...

WD My Passport 500GB salvable?
Running "testdisk" I get problems in recovering the lost PARTITION.
Windows sees the HDD as RAW.....
Attach log file gives me (as amateur) no clues what to do next......
From what I read in this forum I thing the USB on the WD MY PASSPORT 500GB gone mad? IT's FAULTY?
