TestDisk has not been designed to cope with broken devices containing unreadable sectors (see number of reallocated and pending sectors).

So I downloaded and opened photorec as the tutorial said, but my disk shown in it is much more smaller than it really is (256GB to 524MB),

The only alternative is to learn the file system structure, write your own recovery software.

It is a tricky issue. EML looks to me like a single raw email. EMLX (contained in PhotoRec) is different from EML.
