Re: Was enthält die Datei image_remaining.dd und wie komme ich daran?
Hallo!
Ich habe, für eine Bekannte, mit Photorec Bilder und Videos, von einer Festplatte gezogen. Was auch gut gelang.
Es wurde auch eine Datei image_remaining.dd ( 39,7 GB ) erstellt.
Leider weiß ich nicht was sie enthält
Die von PhotoRec erzeugte Datei enthält unidentifizierte Reste der ...

Re: Version 7.1 loops, 7.2 and 7.3 WIP crashes on Mac
I have used this particular setup since 2023, and used PhotoRec 7.1 about a dozen times on this computer with different memory cards without issues during this period. This is the first time there's a problem.
There is no use in complaining that the outdated version 7.1 of Photorec does not work ...

Hint: I do not own an Apple computer!
If your "memory card" (SD card) is not or only occasionally being recognized, either your card reader or your SD card is broken. Exclude this possibility by using a healthy SD. If the problem persists, try out another working SD ...

Re: "Quick Search" Comparison for EFI GPT and Intel MBR
I don't know and I don't care because I let TestDisk run unattended.
If your partition search for a 1 TB secret disk (no further information given) lasts four days, this is definitively too long.
If your USB connection is OK, then this results suggests lots of unreadable sectors.

This is off-topic.

Re: Diskpart o0ps
You need to rescue the content of your external disk using a specialized program like ddrescue (as described in the TestDisk manual).
Using any rescue software on your assumably defective disk might diminish your chances of recovery.
