Thank you. I was able to recover some files, but many were not readable by Excel. I am thinking that files that are not contiguous can not be fully found by PhotoRec? Or is it smart enough to find all of a file if it is split up to different locations on the drive? The 2 files I had put a days work ...

I am new here. The file extensions in PhotoRec that can be toggled on or off do not include Excel, or Word, or Powerpoint extensions. Can they be added? How can I search just for these extensions? Is PhotoRec the correct program to be using to search a bad drive for these files?
