Dear Fiona, During the test the files of the damaged partition could not be seen as the option "p" would not come up when I selected the damaged/erased partition. What next? Dear Fiona, Thanks for the guidance and shall try TestDisk Version 6.14-32 bit. Have been able to get the Backup Sector for this damaged partition through HxD. shall post results/logfile soonest before attempting any repair or restore.Regards

No I used the one under the link x64 as I have a windows 7 64 bit edition running. I extracted all the files through winrar in a folder named Testdisk on the C:\ Drive of the Machine.
