I believe it does have administrative rights. Would this issue be caused by the fact that I'm trying to recover from an Internal hard drive instead of an External one (I currently have no external hard drives on my laptop)? Does the difference matter?

No harddisk found (Macbook)
I have a Mac Os High Sierra 10.13.6, I'm trying to run Photorec with terminal but whenever I do I get this message. I don't understand how it doesn't see my harddisk.
