After about a week, I finally recovered my previous partition map!
Here is our abridged story:
We had a 2TB drive with a 600GB HFS+ partition for Mac Backups and a 1.4TB NTFS partition for Windows backup and storage. One morning I accidentally reformatted the entire drive to 500GB ...

I think I understand what you're asking me to do. From the Main screen, I have highlighted Advanced, then hit 'return', then hit 'a', typed in 1172137239 under Cylinder, change the type to NTFS (07), then hit done but did not find options for Boot, RebuildBS, or List.

At this stage, I am trying to execute the List command, but by hitting return, nothing happens. The results here was not from deep scan, will the deep scan can bring different list results? I tried the deep scan a bit, it printed 40 some lines of partition info which I don't know why ...
