Ok, the new bigger drive that i was trying to migrate to was a brand new Seagate Momentus 750GB. I did format it via Disk Utility first, standard default Mac OS Extended Journaled. The biggest mistake was that i named it "Macintosh HD", the same as the old one, so it was too easy to mix it up w/ the ...

Ok.. it finally finished the Deep Scan - - here's the report...

Disk /dev/rdisk1 - 320 GB / 298 GiB - CHS 625142448 1 1 (RO)

The harddisk (320 GB / 298 GiB) seems too small! (< 882 GB / 821 GiB)
Check the harddisk size: HD jumpers settings, BIOS detection...
