Yes I have been successful using Test disks on trial hard drives.
But it is not successful when the filesystem is corrupt.
However Photorec retrieves files without an issue.

I am learning too, but one thing I have got right is cloning the drive.
The free version of AOMEI Partition Assistant allows you to clone sector by sector to a destination drive without limitation.

Add Truecrypt File Extension

Dear Attentive Forum Members,
I am delighted with the functionality of Photorec and QPhotorec_win.
I notice the tc extension is not listed in the menu to recover.
Is there a way of recovering a non listed file with the Truecrypt extension .TC using Photorec?
such as filename.tc
