If TestDisk can't securely delete the data, you can try the 'dd' command as cgrenier explained to wipe the drive. Another simple option is to use tools like DBAN to make sure all the data is completely gone.

Hi Tommy, good job cloning the drive with ddrescue! After that, you can try using TestDisk to check if it finds any partitions. If it does, you can copy the files to a safe drive.
