Should testdisk be able to recover from a failed [convert /fs:ntfs] or is this asking to much?
If so, are there any specifics?
Please advise.
Thanks, Tracey
I converted 4 USB sticks from FAT32 to NTFS and 1 had a message that the conversion failed at the end.
When I tried to access the drive ...

updated partitions
Can back-up/duplicate partition information be over written with new partition information?
I have updated partitions on several drives.
When I re-run testdisk (searching for partition information just as a verification test ), it discovers the old partition information.

recording partition information
Can TestDisk be used to record partition information as text in a text file for future reference (via batch file)?
Like as shown on the screen as current/valid partition information (not looking for damaged/lost partitions).
I tried starting with: testdisk_win /log /logname "C:\testdisk-6.13 ...

fix/correct partition size in Windows
Is there a way to fix/correct a Windows 2000 FAT32 partition (CHS-values/size) in/for Windows (or can someone point me in a direction to find a solution)?

or
How does Window s determine the partition size?

FAT32 REPAIR UTILITY
Is there such a software utility that I can use to edit a FAT32 table (see below)?
I "successfully" converted a partition from NTFS to FAT32
However, the 152GB disk is now showing as an 87GB disk in Windows 2000 sp4.
Only Windows seems to have the problem, TestDisk detects the disk just fine.
