After researching (which I should have done) I found that the 32 bit worked on my 64 bit system.

I am having the same issue, which is a shame. This was recommended to me by 2 different IT guys.

I start the 64 bit version of testdisk and it crashes the command window it opens.

I am running it as a system admin, and have also tried running it from a windowed state.
