Thanks for your help, but it didn't work. It still shows all the files as names starting with f0 followed by numbers, no matter what type of file it is. I think I have saved most of the contents of the disk by now (just with part that hasn't much chance of ever being put together properly again) so ...

Thank you, but Advanced doesn't give me the option of Boot. It only gives the option of image creation.
I had to list it as no partition, because all the other choices gave me no options, except that there is no partition.

Entire Flash Drive Boot Sector listed as Bad

Is it possible to recover or rebuild in some way a flash drive (8 GB - it does show the correct size and name) that shows it has no partition, and lists both the boot sector and the backup boot sector as bad? I hoped I could rebuild it with testdisk, but I don't see any way to do it. It also says ...
