Another observation: I believe the NTFS partition may have been originally created on Vista. I had selected 'No' when it prompted me the first time I ran testdisk. It doesn't ask me this question anymore and each time I perform a quick scan it initializes at cylinder 14400 or ...

Hello,

Thank you for your reply! 30 hours later it has not succeeded. I rebuilt BS (I did not restart my system directly after manually creating the partition, I did restart testdisk after marking the Linux partitions as blank.. D was not available with the left and right arrow keys) Now I have ...
