I am using ubuntu. In the "Disks" application it shows the USB as follows:
Model: ChipsBnk Flash Disk (5.00)
Size: 8.4 MB (8,388,608 bytes)
Volumes: 8.4 MB Unknown

Update:
I finished scanning and was presented with what appears to be a primary and secondary boot record both listed as bad. When I selected Rebuild I am presented with "Can't Find Cluster Size" I created a dump file but I accidentally pressed cntrl+c and it exited the terminal
