Resumed session doesn't show progression

Hi,

I resumed a session to recover .doc files, now I don't understand if it's working or not because the Terminal window doesn't show any information. The "Stop" command doesn't react either.
I'm using Photorec 7.1-WIP on OSX.

Do you have more success if you try to open the recovered doc/xls/ppt files using libreoffice ?
You can ignore the 32GB .doc file, it's a false positive.

I don't have libreoffice, I should install it. I tried also with the OS X Finder Preview.

The big file has this head ...

Hi,

I'm using PhotoRec 7.1 on a Mac, recovering an external NTFS HD from a Win7 machine.
I tried to recover doc/xls/ppt files but almost all of them (a few hundreds) where not recognized by Word/Excel/PPT.

There's a really odd thing: 1 .doc file of almost 32GB (gigabytes!) named f182134232.doc

Recover JPGs based on minimum kilobytes

Hi,

is it possible to set PhotoRec to only recover JPG files with a minimum weight? Such as 200 KB
I need to recover some deleted photos, but not all the jpeg files.

Hello,

the situation is:
- HD from an Asus notebook with Windows 7 Home Pro;
- There were some problems with the HD, so Windows was reinstalled using the Recovery DVD;
- the C partition was deleted, and so all the photos/movies/docs were lost (the ones inside the Images/Movies/Documents folders ...
