P HFS+ 25 127 15 12144 254 22 194699744

pourrait-être la partition d'origine ?

Re: Trouble recovering ext3 partition

depending on your geometry (probably X/255/63) to compute LBA on CHS value the formula is :

LBA = 255*63*C + 63*H +S - 1

But as said before, it's not a good idea to run fsck without having made before a security copy of your drive…
Better try a mount read-only.

Re: Please Help! PhotoRec OR TEST-DISK?

You may try to recover jpg and tiff files with photorec, this won't change your disk until you select a destination different that this disk. As far as it's not recognized, the file-system is probably not mounted and you won't probabely be able to overwrite, but be careful. You may also have a resul...

Re: invalid or incomplete multibyte or wide character

wouldn't be easier to repair your partition table with testdisk and then to mount file-system to access data ?
Why weren't you able to repair your partition table ?

Re: Consecutive Undelete Operations: Different Amount of Dat

Was the disk mounted ? Was the recycle bin emptied ? Did you try to recover the deleted files and write them to the disk where that were erased before ?

Re: Recovering Lost NTFS Partitions

FIrst of all, please be sure to use testdisk from another disk than the one where you lost partitions. It seems you formated the whole disk while installation. Did you wrote many datas on it ? Did you proceed the installation until it's end ? Formatting a device as ext filesystem wrote some superblo...

Re: can't use TestDisk (Mac)

more info needed to catch Christophe Grenier attention on your problem : -what version of testdisk you tried ? -do you have other return on the command line, like errors ? -did you launch testdisk as root ? Note that it seems there's a problem with testdisk/mac since some days but I can't be sure yo...
