I have a HP ENVY 23-d027c with windows 10 upgrade...
They used windows 10 for a while without problems.

Since my last post, I tried the following with no joy:

All Troubleshooting in Windows Recovery Media
Removed hdd and put in my computer
Scanned entire? hdd with Kaspersky, Avast, Malware ...

So, I'm going to fool around on this computer some more today. I'll repost after the fooling. Thanks for your help.

1. I marked the 2095104-sector partition D, the [SYSYEM] partition * and the rest P.

2. Exited testdisk...

3. Changed to c:\, I think

4. typed bootrec.exe /fixmbr

It said operation completed successfully, I think.

5. Looked for boot.ini on the root of all the ...
