i created an image of the disk with clonezilla and had no problem but two strange things happen.. it took more or less 10 minutes to finish and the image size is 10Mb, since i had about 900Gb on the hard disk i don't think thats not very positive..
are my files still in the disk or there is no hope ...

"Show all files" or "show deleted files" are empty, none of them presents any file.. as seen in the image "Total 0 bytes in 0 files"
i disconnected the disk and let it rest for about 2 hours, and then i resume the scanning

ok, i stopped photorec.. anyway, since i could continue the scan later, i stopped the other application just to check the files that it had found so far (in the previous image it says that found more than 600 specific file documents, thats supposed to be files found, right?).. but for my surprise ...

First of all, let me just thanks remy and fiona for the support.. without you i might had give up and all my data would be lost forever, but for now i still have hope for recovering them thanks to you both.

well, i made a quick search and a deeper search with testdisk and the application did not recognize any error, but took +- 24hours to finish..
how can i duplicate the disk before the data recovery?
can someone explain the steps to be made for a correct data recovery?

ok, i'll left testdisk apart from now on and concentrate recovering my data with a another software.. which data recovery application do you recommend? i'm already scanning with photorec, but it will take more than 2 weeks to end..

In the meanwhile i started a search with photorec, but the estimated time to completion is more than 350hours, is this normal?
And what about testdisk, is there any hope for recover my files/old partition with it?
