Did you try fidentify BEFORE trying your signature ?
Photorec 7.1-WIP should already recover gpx files. NOte that gpx and xml files are part of tx? file family.

If the disk was using an EFI GPT, choose EFI GPT, Analyse, Quick Search, Deeper Search.
If the NTFS partition is found, set it as P(rimary). On next screen, choose Write, confirm, BackupBS, confirm, Quit and restart your computer.

Lorsque TestDisk demande la destination, appuies sur la fleches de gauche jusqu'à ce que tu puisses sélectionner le disque v:.
Si cela ne fonctionne toujours pas, déplace carrement testdisk sur le disque v: et lance le depuis ce volume.

TestDisk and PhotoRec can not recover the file structure and the original filenames after a quick format. The exception: if the partition was a FAT32, run PhotoRec, enable the expert mode, start the recovery, answer Y when asked "Try to unformat a FAT filesystem (Y/N)". Otherwise PhotoRec can recove...

I/0 device error may be due to bad sectors. In this case, you should clone the disk to a new empty one using ddrescue.

You can use fidentify (or file) to identify the correct file extension.

Unfortunately you didn't provide the testdisk.log file. We don't know how your partition table is currently.
The correct partition table type may be EFI GPT and not PC Intel.

Can you double check that you are using the option "ecryptfs_enable_filename_crypto=n" ?
