Folder/file recovery from NTFS HD.

Hi all. Bit of a mess I got myself in here. I booted a Dell into Puppylinux from a live CD to transfer data from a Windows 7 install before doing an OS re-install. However it turns out the SD card I was moving to is a fake, and the files basically went nowhere. I have another 32Gb card that I know for sure works though.
I haven't touched the HD except for this data "move", so it should be treated as deleted data, is that right? If I want to recover it all then, I should boot to Puppylinux, run testdisk and moved the "deleted" folders to my working SD card? Is this correct?
Can I select entire folders to recover from an NTFS HD or only individual files? I don't need to recover all of the files either, just the deleted ones.
Thanks!

So the answer is that I can only recover files, not folder structures?
OK, I've got quite a bit of sorting and renaming ahead of me!

TestDisk can recover files and file structure from NTFS if the information can still be found on disk.

Why can you not browse deleted files in the way that you can in a FAT filesystem through TeskDisk's List function?

Can you answer my question please?

Did you mean to say by your last post that if it isn't in TestDisk, it isn't there?
