2300hrs estimated to finish

#1 Post by addison999 »

I am running PhotoRec on a 400G drive of which only 4G is used.

Friend's husband formatted it and reinstalled Windows 7 and lost all their photos.

Program is running fine and reporting recovered files.

Am I right in assuming that 2300hrs estimate will drop once it gets to empty space that has never been used?

It has been running 15 hours so far

Have you been carefull to store the recovered files on another disk than the source ?
Do you see read errors or is the disk connected via an old USB connector ? (USB1 instead of USB2 or USB3)
