Recover file from Formatted Extternal Hard Drive

#1 Post by FEH0331 »

Can I use TestDisk to recover file from an (accidentally) formatted external hard drive, or should I use PhotoRec?

It's better to use PhotoRec to recover data from a reformated disk.
If PhotoRec recovers no valid files, enable the Expert mode in Options and use a blocksize of 512, use the default value otherwise.
