Can I run more than one instance of testdisk at once

#1 Post by villandra »

I had a hard drive with my important files accidentally fast formatted and a restore partition incorrectly put on it yesterday.

It looks like most of my files that were on other partitions but C are there, but it's taking FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR to recover them. On what seems to be a reasonably fast i5 system.

However it appears I can do other things with the computer without having any effect.

Can I by any chance run more than instance of testdisk at a time?

Yes, it's possible to run several instance of testdisk at the same time.
But do not run several instances of PhotoRec unless you have started photorec from the command line in a different working directory.
