Hi,
I've been trying to recover files from a hard drive which contains 8 bad sectors. When I use the list files option from the actual hard drive I'm able to view the files.
But when I try the same with the Image.dd file which was successfully created (on another dusk of course), no files are being listed at all.
I wanted to recover files from the image rather than directly from the hard drive to minimise multiple read operations on the corrupted disk.

I assume you have create an image of a partition, not the image of the whole disk.
When you open the image.dd file using testdisk, choose partition type None, go in the Advanced menu, if List isn't available, use the Type menu to force the partition type (NTFS, exFAT, FAT32...).
