How to Recover DD data

#1 Post by Elliesh7 »

Hi members!

I have my computer (W2000) which died (motherboard and graphics card). I would like to recover data from my 2 hard drives. For the 1st, no problems: I connected my HDD to another PC with W 2000 and I can read it without my adp problems, but for the second .... but when I click on the disc, it asks me if I want to format it. it is an IBM which at 10 years of 100 G ° shared in 2. When I launch TestDisk, I have the following line:

Disc / dev / sdc 33 Gb / 31 GiB

The problems are the following: why sdc and not sdb or sda like the other DD?

it only recognizes 33 Gb but the mythdhr disk makes 100!
I think on the other hand, given its age, that it must be formatted originally in FAT16 ...

Thanks in advance.

You need Windows 2000 SP4 (maybe SP3 is enough) to handle disk over 130 GB.
