Partition Recovery problem with SSD

#1 Post by natec »

Hello,
I have a 512 GB Samsung SSD. The disk had one partition for the entire capacity.
The Windows 10 installer probably formatted the entire drive and created a 32 GB partition with the Windows 10 installer.
Currently, the disk is seen in Windows as 476 GB of free space.
Normally, a search in TestDisk shows only a 32 GB partition. After using the search options, the program shows two partitions:

Disk / dev / sdb - 512 GB / 476 GiB - CHS 62260 255 63 Partition Start End Size in sectors
D FAT32 LBA 0 32 33 4177 117 36 67108864 [EFI System Partition] [ESD-USB]
D HPFS - NTFS 0 32 33 62 260 88 36 1000 210 432

Structure: Ok. Use Up/Down Arrow keys to select partition. Use Left/Right Arrow keys to CHANGE partition characteristics: *=Primary bootable P=Primary L=Logical E=Extended D=Deleted Keys A: add partition, L: load backup, T: change type, P: list files, Enter: to continue NTFS found using backup sector, blocksize=4096, 512 GB / 476 GiB[/size]

Using options on the 476 GB drive "P" displays the message: Can't open filesystem. Filesystem seems damaged.
I need to restore the 476 GB partition where my personal files were. Please help in this matter.
Thank you very much.

With such a result only Photorec or any commercial solution would be the next step.
