Unbootable Windows Installation - Dell Laptop

#1 Post by Janetbassett »

I'm trying to install windows 10 in my dell latitude 5480 from my USB stick where I burned the windows 10 1909 ISO using Rufus, The problem is even if my USB stick has been partitioned as UEFI NTFS in Rufus, my laptop's boot screen will only show it in the Legacy category, not in the UEFI ! and when I selected it said it can't boot because it's a UEFI partition! Of course, I disabled secure boot, I tried to change some configuration in the bios but nothing ! my laptop will always put my UEFI USB in the legacy section preventing it from booting. Is there any solution to that, please?
Updated: I have found this https://techloris.com/create-a-windows-10-install-usb/ solution which completely solved my issue.
