"Warning: Bad Starting Sector" and "Structure: Bad"

#1 Post by Boerse80 »

I am pretty new to this stuff, but a friend of mine has reccomended TestDisk to solve the problems with my external 500 GB Lacie.
I tried to follow the step by step tutorial, but as the results I get on the screen are quite different, I am kinda stuck.
After Analyse I have the following screen:
Analyse.png
Analyse.png (45.24 KiB) Viewed 1392 times
So I ran the Quck Search, but no partitions showed up.
However, as I tried some other things, I came upon the "Load backup" option and got the following results after loading one:
Loaded Backup.png
Loaded Backup.png (34.96 KiB) Viewed 1392 times
All 4 are shown as bad and I have no clue what I could try next.
This drive should have only had one partition and it is shown in disk managmant like this:
DiskManager.png
DiskManager.png (4.97 KiB) Viewed 1392 times
Any ideas?
