Hi,

All my files on my external hard drive (NTFS Stor.E Canvio Toshiba 500Gb) have been replaced by a folder named "found.000" that I cannot access.

I used Testdisk to try to recover files/partitions and the following messages showed up

Code: Select all

Disk /dev/rdisk2 - 500 GB / 465 GiB - 976773168 sectors (RO)

I did not dare to change anything on the drive's geometry because when I scan my drive with Data Rescue they are found and I know I will be able to recover them that way but I thought fixing the geometry of the drive might also fix it and it would probably be faster.

How can I solve this problem?
