Urgent Help: 1TB NTFS formatted to JHFS+

#1 Post by samfog »

My Harddisk is a Seagate Backup Plus 1TB, with default NTFS format. The partition table should be in Microsoft one.
I accidentally formatted the harddisk into Mac OS Extended (Journaled) fomrat, and changed the partition table to GUID one.

I am a new user of testdisk, and I am so confused about it.
My goal is to recover the data inside
Can anyone give me a guideline on my case?

I think there are 3 things to handle
1. Change the filesystem format (from Mac OS Extended (Journaled) to NTFS)
2. Change the partition table (from GUID to MS)
3. Recover the data (Undelete)

I really don't know much about this, please correct me if I am wrong
