Recover HFS+ after accidental reformat to exFAT
I have an external 3tb hard drive that I used as a media drive completely full of movies, music and tv shows. I wanted to quick reformat a new 3tb hard drive to exFAT and accidentally ended up reformatting my media drive. This operation only took a few seconds and I was devastated when it happened. Right now my Mac doesnt recognize the hard drive and asks me if I want to initialize he drive. I haven't done anything to the drive since it happened for fear of completely writing over anything that could potentially be recovered. I tried using Testdisk but couldn't figure it out. Then I tried to use PhotoRec and after running for 12 hours it didn't find anything to recover. Please help.
