Hi. I need some help (obviously).

Disc in question: WD My Passport 1TB, USB.

Partitions before the crash: Single NFTS partition. The disc was almost full.

What happened: I plugged it into a Samsung TV. The problem appeared after I removed it from the TV.

Problem: No data accessible in Windows. It slows down the computer when it's plugged in, even blocking some processes and programs (tested on three machines with WinXP and Win7). It shows up in WIndows Explorer as F: (without a name), but it's inaccessible - it says 'time limit exceeded'.

Disc Management. Shows up as a healthy physical drive (931,48 GB) with 100% space empty. It states no file system, but it also doesn't ask me to format the disc.

Test Disk/PhotoRec.

It recognizes an NTFS partition:
Listing files via Analyse shows nada.
Boot menu says: 'Boot sector OK. Backup boot sector Bad. Sectors not identical.'

Deeper search found two more partitions, which are unrecoverable. It says that the disk seems to small but 1000GB is correct.
Please help me out. What is the problem here? Is it the file system? What should I do?

Try TestDisk, Advanced, select the NTFS partition, Undelete.
If it doesn't work, you can use PhotoRec to recover your data, but recovered files won't have their original filenames.
