CmosPwd Tool works @ Toshiba Satellite A30

#1 Post by lorn10 »

I know, this it the wrong place for this post, - however there seems no CmosPwd sub category at this forum here.

I want to say that I can confirm that the "cmospwd /k" command works PERFECTLY also for Toshiba Satellite A30 type laptop (SA30-714 / PSA30E-1568C-S4). The BIOS password can be on this way removed by erasing the cmos content, - I selected a "FULL erasing" (option 1).

Interestingly, all over the web it is mentioned that any "clear cmos" software tool will NOT work. It is written that at any (more recent) Toshiba laptop the BIOS password can only be "cleared" trough a "hardware jumper" which I could not locate at my Satellite A30.
