NTFS wiped to EXT4. Any chance to recover partition or data?

#1 Post by MaxStirner »

During Ubuntu installation I accidentally selected to install "all new" system so that it completely erased Windows partition together with the earlier Ubuntu installation. Now I have ext4 and swap partition (plus EFI). Ehh..
Any chance to recover data from the NTFS part (or the whole partition maybe?) How should I proceed so as not to make things worse? Can photorec Help recover documents? I'm afraid to take any further steps a bit - please help..
