RAID 5 Freenas

#1 Post by kevinevo7 »

Hi,

I've got 2 disks from 4 that got formated during a wrong upgrade.
Is there a way to get the data back.

I've run Testdisk in non partitioned media, the choose freenas, and made an image of the disk.

Regards,

Kevin

You need all 4 disks to recover data off of your RAID5.
Probably RAID- recovery using parity doesn't work if 2 disks are affected?
Either you're able to recreate your RAID array without formatting, exactly like before, you could make a diagnose
using testdisk or a nother safe solution would be affordable commercial RAID-recovery software like Restorer Ultimate, where you can virtually recreate your array in the software and scan it.
You can try a trial first?
