Hi Folks,

I got myself in a bit of a mess this Christmas. When installing Ubuntu 13.10 on a Windows (7) machine, I lost the existing partitions. I sincerely hope you can help me recovering a few of the lost files. Until now I followed the procedure as described in Testdisk step by step.

After a deeper search I manage to retrieve a list which contain the old partitions, e.g. Programme_files and Mydocs.
Using 'P' I can list the files which are in the old partitions; my lost files and folders are visible ;) .

When I want to change the characteristic to "L" to get them back as a logical partitions I get the message that there is not backup found.

I'm not familiar with any of the other options e.g. changing is in an E Extended partition and a really don't want to mess this up again

What would be you advise to get the Mydocs partition back?

Thanks
