Recover data from external USB

#1 Post by umair »

Hi,

Desperately need help recovering data lost from a external USB drive that i attached to my FREENAS system and chose to load it as a ZFS volume. I ignored the fact that it will delete the data i had on it. I used Testdisk to recover data from another USB i had and i was successful. The other drive i have is 1 TB and it took almost 15 hours to finish the analysis and resulted in a error stating : "Can't find cluster size". i would really appreciate if somebody could help me recover my data. I am attaching the logfile that testdisk generated. Hopefully some expert out there can put me in the right direction. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Happy new year.

For some reason i cannot attach the log file. Here is the last few lines :

First sectors (Boot code and partition information) are not identical.
Second sectors (cluster information) are not identical.
Third sectors (Second part of boot code) are not identical.

A valid FAT Boot sector must be present in order to access
any data; even if the partition is not bootable.
