Hi,
I am new to the forum and I appreciate your help.
I have RAID1 2TB external drive that stops to work. Data only, no boot OS.
One drive is physically dead, but other
drive has corrupted partition. I cant see the driver only in Disc manager(W7).
I found your program and after deeper scan I can see the NTSF partition
>* HPFS - NTFS 0 32 33 243194 237 51 3906924544 [RAID1 2TB]
Should I change this partition to primary? I do not need any more RAID1.

Thank you.

Your partition is activ, it means bootable.
If you don't boot from that partiton, just change it to P for only primary.
Otherwise go to Write and confirm with enter.
If your boot sector is damaged, you can get another message to repair it.
Easily confirm with backup BS.
It copies the backup of your boot sector over the damaged boot secor.
So it will be repaired.

Quit Testdisk and restart your PC.

Thanks Fiona,
Now the Disc Manager shows 1862.97 GB RAW - Healthy(Primary Partition)
and popup window ask me:
You need to format the disk drive E: before you can use it. Format\Cancel.
Any suggestions ?
PS. Thanks for removing my duplicate post.

Start TestDisk.
Confirm through until you see the menu Analyse.
Don't confirm at Analyse but Advanced.
Confirm at Boot with enter also.
Please upload a screendump.
Infos will follow.

Looks Ok?
Can you list your data?

Otherwise it might be possible that you must add ownership to your account.

This behavior indicates two things!
Either your file system is damaged or you need ownership.

Highlight List and hit Enter.
Do you see your data?
You also can copy your data.
If you list your data, at the bottom of the screen you find the commands.
If you mark that single point, your complete drive will be copied.

But I assume, it might be necessary to take ownership of your files?
Just check it also.
Right click your drive / properties / security

Check this also.
