Converting disk from Dynamic to Basic

#1 Post by stevethornton »

I am trying to resize some partitions on domain controllers using GPARTED. However, before I can do this, I have to convert the disk to basic disks, as GPARTED has trouble with dymanic.

Using the "Backup" and "Write features of Testdisk, I am able to convert a dynamic disk to a "basic" disk. However, if the disk has more than 3 volumes, this feature does not work. Could someone confirm if this is correct please?

Thanks
