Accidental NTSF HD formatted OSX

I am a newby on this forum. I hope somebody can help me.
My son plugged my NTFS drive into his MAC.
When I plug it into my windows PC does not recognize the drive.
I have tried TESTDISK 6.4 but can only see the following:
HFS+ Structure with no files.
Can you advise how to recover my NTFS data.
