Problem with recovering of partitions

#1 Post by Xenophon »

Hi,

I need some help with the recovering of 2 lost partitions. I followed the step-by-step tutorial and every thing looked good. With the quick analysis my loast partitions are found and I can list all the files. However, if I save the partition structure and restart the 2 partions are still lost. :(
I hope there is anybody who can help me with this issue.

Regards

Might be possible that you have any background process which prevents TestDisk to write your partition table.
There shouldn't run any Antivirus, Norton GoBack or Norton Sonar in the background.
In case I would need some mor information about Analyse and Quick Search.
Please use TestDisk 6.14 32-bit.
TestDisk must be executed as Administrator.

Hi Fiona,

thanks for your reply. I am currently copy all the files to an external device. Indeed, there is McAfee running in the background but I am not quite sure if I am able to disable it. However, I will try it as soon as the copying of my files is completed.

I am using the version you mentioned and I also ran it as Administrator. Which aditional information do you need about the analysis and the quick search?

Just have a try and disable McAfee.
If it works, there would be no reason to upload something.
