Cloning OSX formatted drive

#1 Post by zaggy »

I would like to do a test recovery on a copy of damage drive before actual repair of original damaged drive.
Is it possible to clone a damaged drive from within Testdisk?
If yes, what is the step-by-step instructions.

I'm not as much an Apple expert.

No, you can create an image for recovering purposes and work with TestDisk and PotoRec to recover data.
Information;

TestDisk doesn't restore any image.
Also some hints to work with damaged hard disks here;

Also you can have a look at this program;
