HD not shown in Testdrive

Had a bad HD show up in Testdrive initially as F: (run on Win7 with good C: drive). After Analyse was done, logfile shows CRC errors for some files on F:. However, I thought I was repairing the MBR by selecting MBR Code for F:. Turns out this is not what I should have done. After reboot, neither Windows explorer nor Testdrive shows the HD at all. What can I do? I hope I still have all my data files, or did I destroy them. Or must I take this drive to a data recovery shop? Just want to get back to where Testdrive lists the F: drive again.

CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) often indicates bad sectors or damaged hard disk.
In case you should clone it (sector copy) to another healthy disk.
Here are some info what you did, using MBR Code;
http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/Menu_MBRCode
The MBR is just 1 sector (512 Bytes).
After reboot, neither Windows explorer nor Testdrive shows the HD at all.
Windows explorer has not us much significance like TestDisk.
If TestDisk doesn't list your Disk in your disk selection, there should be a problem.
In windows, the disk management console might be important too.
Before you'll be able to recover data, your disk must be recognized in your BIOS and windows device manager.
Please check it also!

Both BIOS and Device Manager do not report the bad drive at all. Is there any way to make Testdisk show this drive or is it too late? Can some of the files be restored at all?
