Cancel changes before they even took effect

Hello,

I have a hard time with one of my external drives. By mistake, I rewrote the boot sector & the partition system of my main HD, the one that is physically on my computer (but that did not show as "C:").

It stated, when I did the changes :
"You will have to reboot for the change to take effect."

I did not reboot (but at one point will have to) and I just DONT want the changes to take effect anymore as there was nothing wrong with my HD (I believe the other drive is physically shot after all).

What can I do to cancel the changes before they take effect ?

Thanks (quite urgent...)

Franck

If the partition table you have rewritten contains the same information than previously, there will be no effect.
The testdisk.log file may have recorded the initial configuration and what you have written.
