Hello everyone, I have an HDD that used to be 1 FAT32 partition, I partioned it and started a format process. The format crashed and the client changed his openion and asked for his files to be saved, is there any way I can restore the 2 unformated partitions back in 1 partition in order to recover the lost files using TestDisk?

What's your OS and the size of you disk?
Windows only allows FAT32-Partitions up to 32 GB.
Did you use any tools?
Did you run testdisk and a Deeper Search?
If your partition would be found, you can mark it and press p to have a try to list your files.
Can you run diagnose using testdisk and copy and paste the content of your testdisk.log into your next post?
You'll find it within your testdisk folder.
You can open it using an editor or wordpad.

I was using NTFS with windows XP.

TestDisk gives the following message on list : Can't open filesystem. Filesystem seems to be damaged.

I did analyse and found the partition but for some reason it states it was 500 GB and the disk is only 250GB so it says that the disk is too small for the current partition.

I saved the partition on an image.dd but without any errors but I do not know what to do with this.
