Hello. I have a portable hard drive that is no longer mountable on my Linux 64-bit system. Gparted sees the drive, but the partition that contains all my data is no longer recognizable by the Linux system. The file system is labeled "Unknown."
I downloaded your Testdisk utility and have great hopes for it. I just can't figure out what to do with the download. I suspect I have to build the app myself, but I can't find any instructions on how to do this. Or maybe the executable is hidden somewhere?
Thanks for any help you can offer.
