Restore TrueCrypt partitions after "Windows disk initialize"

#1 Post by wolverrum »

This message is not a call to solve a problem. I just want to share my own successful experience in repairing TrueCrypt partitions after accidental windows disk initialization.

Prerequisites:
- Free space of size >= HDD size to be restored: this will need to create a drive image file
- Linux OS (LiveCD is acceptable, I used Mint) + installed TrueCrypt: I found the linux ecosystem very useful in repair
