Hi everybody,
I guess it was due to some driver updates or some other reason, but today I lost the extended partition of my 1 TB HD.
The disk is formatted as follows:
[Primary bootable partition "System" ~100GB]
[Extended Partition: [Logical partition "Games" ~96 GB] [Logical partition "Storage" ~735 GB]]
The primary partition is working fine and I´m using the OS installed on it. However the extended partition disappeared.
Using testdisk I am only able to recover one of the logical partitions at a time but not both. Selecting one of them I can recover it and the data is correct. But I´m not able to include both partitions for the new partition table. I think it may be due to a sector overlap, but I have no idea how this could have happened. This is what I get with quick search:
Where the second "Storage" partition has a damaged filesystem, and the rest is fine. As you see, if I select both partitions "Games" and "Storage" (first) the structure is bad.
How can I restore both logical partitions as before?
Thanks a lot in advance!
