Help with erased/reformatted partition Mac SSD
Posted: 19 Apr 2015, 15:54
I have followed your step by step and I seem to be getting lost in the final steps or I am doing something wrong leading up to them.
I accidentally hit "erase" in disk utility on the wrong partition. It happened to be the partition with my entire drive on it. It was a quick erase, not overwrite. Instead of stopping and getting help there, I stupidly created a new partition and installed OS to try and recover. Since then, I have removed that partition and I have been accessing from another drive that I am running the OS off of.
I have nearly 230 GB of data to recover. The partition I am looking for was called untitled, then accidentally switched to EFI before I erased. That accidental switch was made when I was renaming a new partition "EFI." So, write when it was erased there were 2 "EFI" partitions, but only one had data on it.
What a mess, I know.
Please help. Here is test log
